Daily passes for Jalometalli 2008 for sale; Accreditation has begun.

The program and the running order of bands for both days at the 7th Jalometalli in August is now complete, and the daily passes are now available. Accreditation for the media and professionals in the music industry has also begun. Offering a heavy dose of traditional metal through decades, Jalometalli brings together metal fans from all over Northern Europe at Club Teatria in Oulu, Finland on August 15 – 16, 2008.

The main acts for Jalometalli 2008 are Satyricon (NOR) and Overkill (USA). Other notable artists in this year’s program include the American godfathers of death metal, Possessed; Trouble, the pioneers of doom metal; Australian thrash veterans Mortal Sin, and the pride of battle metal from Finland, Turisas. Jalometalli is not fishing for mainstream audience. We’d much rather offer a unique and immemorial event for metal fans every year.

Daily running order at Jalometalli 2008:

Friday, August 15
Masterstroke, Prestige, Adastra, Catamenia, Sadistic Intent (USA), Mortal Sin (AUS), Mayhem (NOR), Blitzkrieg (UK), Overkill (USA) and Turisas.

Saturday, August 16
Fall of the Idols, Heavy Metal Perse, Pantheon I (NOR), Kalmah, Desaster (GER), Evocation (SWE), Barathrum, Sotajumala, Astral Doors (SWE), Possessed (USA), Trouble (USA), Satyricon (NOR) and KYPCK.

Daily passes to Jalometalli cost 45 euros in advance, two-day passes cost 58 euros. Please note that ticket sales for this year’s festival have started with much more intensity than in the previous years. Tickets can be purchased through Lippupalvelu (Ticket Service Finland), Tiketti and Levykauppa Äx record store in Oulu. There is no age limit to the festival, but there is a separate serving area for people of age. As usual, there are two stages at Jalometalli, one indoors and one outdoors. We reserve the right to any necessary changes.

Accreditation for the media and professionals in the music industry has also begun. We kindly request you to contact us via email at media(at)jalometalli.net to inquire more information or to apply for accreditation. Check the “Media” section at the official festival website for detailed instructions. Due to the increased interest in our festival last year, we may have to limit the number of accredited people. Accreditation ends on August 8th.
